Liftally App FAQ

About Liftally

What is Liftally?

Liftally is a strength training app for lifters who want to plan sessions, track performance, and understand training progress over time.

What can I track with Liftally?

Liftally helps you track lifts, sessions, training trends, strength metrics, and progress context in one place.

How does Liftally use training data?

Liftally uses your recorded training information to present performance context and session-level suggestions. Your results should be used alongside your own judgment and training plan.

Workout Logging

How do I log a workout in Liftally?

Record your workout with the timer, then enter reps, weight, and RPE for each set. Finish the session to save it to your history, where you can review the recorded training data over time.

Can I edit a recorded set?

Yes. You can edit an individual set from Progress to update its details. For broader changes, AI Trainer can prepare proposed edits to exercise names, reps, weight, RPE, timing, or dates; review the draft and confirm the intended scope before applying it.

Can I import workouts from a screenshot?

Use AI Trainer to add a workout screenshot and extract its sets into a draft. Review and edit the draft before saving, including the reps, RPE, and timer defaults that should apply to the imported workout.

Timer & Training Metrics

How does the Liftally timer work?

The Liftally timer keeps running after a set duration is reached, so it can track your actual exercise or rest time without interruption. Let it run naturally during training, then review your history to see the time you took and adjust future timer defaults if needed.

What is RPE?

RPE, or Rate of Perceived Exertion, is a self-assessment scale, typically from 1 to 10, that measures how hard you feel you are working during exercise. Higher numbers mean greater effort.

What is estimated 1RM?

Estimated 1RM is a theoretical maximum weight for one repetition, calculated from your recorded multiple-rep sets. Liftally uses the Epley formula to relate weight and reps, giving you a consistent estimate to follow as your strength changes over time.

AI Trainer & Progress

What can AI Trainer help with?

AI Trainer helps you understand, adjust, and plan training using your recorded workout data. It can support broader planning and session-specific questions, but it does not silently change your plan; you review and confirm proposed changes.

What can I review in Progress?

Use Progress to review whether your training is improving over time. Choose a few key exercises, review trends in volume, estimated strength, and effort, then look for plateaus or sharp effort changes before deciding what to adjust.
